How to make music for films (part one)
/ The first way to write music for films is global.
/ You watch the movie from beginning to end.
/ And then, without watching the picture, you write the music…
/ …from the memory of the sensation you had watching it.
/ You don’t write the music for a scene, you compose it to “tell” the story.
/ Then scene by scene, you built the music with elements of the main theme.
/ You can also use the same process on a scene by scene basis.
/ You watch a scene, get away from it, write the music, and get back to it.
/ This method takes longer but gives the best musical results.
/ Next time we’ll see a faster method for tv low cost series.
Good luck!
