Haiti versus Pearl Harbor

Houses believe to be located in Jacmel after the earthquake hit Haiti, Thursday, January 14, 2010.

I remember the shocking scene of the Pearl Harbor movie.

The sailors trapped inside the ships that couldn’t be rescued in time.

The nurse that had to sort the wounded out in three categories:

-Not bad enough (to get medical care)
-Okay
-Too bad to be taken care of

This happened to a naval base of thousands of people.

Now think of the same situation happening right now in a country of millions.

They are one of the poorest countries in the world, they don’t even have the food and water…

No they have looters with machetes in the streets.

And from a scientific point of view this is not the end of it.

This earthquake should trigger a backward reaction of the same magnitude in the early years to come.
